Cookies & Browser Storage

What Savi remembers in your browser, why it’s there, and how you can manage it.

1. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website can save in your browser. Local storage is a similar technology that keeps information on your device between visits. Savi uses local storage for the website features described below.

This page covers the Savi website. For information about receipt processing, shared bills, and the app, read our Privacy Policy.

2. What this website stores

  • Appearance preference: your chosen light or dark theme, saved under theme, so the website remembers your display preference.
  • Recent guest bills: up to ten recent bill entries, saved under tabshare_guest_sessions. Entries include the bill identifier, your name and email address, the bill name when available, and the time the entry was saved. These help you return to a bill you joined.
  • Notice acknowledgement: saved under tabshare_storage_notice when you select “Got it”, so this version of the notice does not appear on every visit.

These entries have no automatic time-based expiry. They remain until you clear this site’s browser data; older recent-bill entries are also replaced as more bills are saved. Private browsing or your browser settings may clear them sooner.

3. Advertising and analytics

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this website. The notice explains the browser storage used for the features above; selecting “Got it” acknowledges the notice and does not opt you into advertising or analytics.

4. Managing your browser data

You can view, block, or clear this website’s stored data through your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. Clearing it removes your saved theme, recent-bill shortcuts, and acknowledgement of this notice. Blocking storage may affect these features.

Clearing browser data does not delete receipts, shared bills, or account information held by the service. See the Privacy Policy for information about personal data and deletion requests.

On a shared device, clear this site’s browser data when you finish if you do not want another person using that browser to see your recent-bill shortcuts.

5. Review the notice

You can reopen the notice at any time. We will update this page when the website’s storage practices change.
